In the latest edition of the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings 2023, Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT Madras) has once again claimed the top position among higher education institutions. The rankings were released by the Union Ministry of Education, and they have brought great joy to the entire IIT Madras community. Prof V Kamakoti, the Director of IIT Madras, expressed his immense happiness and stated, "It gives me immense joy to share that IIT Madras has yet again emerged as a topper in the Overall and Engineering categories of the National Institute Rankings Framework 2023 conducted by the Union Ministry of Education. We will continue to take all necessary action to make IIT Madras a locally relevant and globally recognized institute."

Overall Ranking
The NIRF rankings 2023 also revealed that the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru and IIT Delhi secured the second and third positions, respectively, in the overall rankings. These institutions have consistently maintained their stellar reputation and have made significant contributions to the advancement of education and research in India.
University Ranking
Moving on to the Universities category, the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru emerged as the top university in the India Rankings 2023 of Higher Educational Institutions. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Jamia Millia Islamia from Delhi secured the second and third ranks, respectively. These universities have been at the forefront of academic excellence, nurturing talented individuals and fostering an environment of intellectual growth.
College Ranking
When it comes to colleges, Miranda House in New Delhi was named the top college in India Ranking 2023. Hindu College in New Delhi and Presidency College in Chennai secured the second and third positions, respectively. Engineering Ranking
In the Engineering category of India Ranking 2023, the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras claimed the top spot once again. The Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi and Bombay secured the second and third positions, respectively. Management Ranking
Shifting focus to the Management category, IIM Ahmedabad secured the first position in the NIRF rankings 2023. IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode secured the second and third positions, respectively. Law institution Ranking
